only try a small amount of bicarbonate of soda / baking soda for ibs

i tried too much bicarbonate of soda / baking soda the day before, just try one teaspoon for ibs  dissolved in a cup of water, so far  though it has not helped me, supposed to be a old remedy cure all, but so far  i still have ibs, just had one teaspoon for today on a empty stomach and see if that dosage helps with the ibs problems.
